Lauren Jackson is a multimedia printmaker and graphic designer from the DC Metropolitan
Area, living and working in Baltimore, Maryland. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the
Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), @marylandinstitutecollegeofart majoring in Printmaking with concentrations in Graphic
Design and Book Arts. Jackson is now completing her Master of Arts in Teaching from the
MICA, continuing to focus on letterpress printing and paper-making. Her primary focus is making print and paper techniques combined with storytelling accessible to different communities of color through arts education and exploration.
Lauren has exhibited work nationally, including spaces in Baltimore, MD, Hamilton Woodtype &
Museum in Two Rivers, WI, and Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center Gallery in Indianapolis, IN.
Her work is also included in the permanent collection of the Dolphin Press & Print Archive in
Baltimore, MD. In 2019, Jackson received the Carrie Macedonia Memorial Scholarship in
Printmaking and the Leslie King Hammond Graduate Fellowship Award in 2020.
